Many people tend to write out the points made in their CV in paragraph form when it comes to writing a cover letter. You should avoid doing this and instead write passionately about your interest in the type of job you are applying for with references to what you have done in your past that would make you a good candidate for the job role. Try to bring out your personality in the cover letter by talking about how the sector interests you and why you feel this opportunity would be right for you. Try and subtly show off your expertise in the industry!
Recruiters have a lot applications to review, do not write an essay as they most likely won’t read it. Keep your cover letter short and sweet, half an A4 page of text should be fine.
