Our client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT security professional to join their IT team in the London Head Office.
The role will be responsible to contribute to IT security operation practices, ensuring that IT systems remain available, integral and meet required privacy measures. The focus of the activities will be the ongoing operation and maintenance of IT security controls, including but not limited to identifying security weaknesses of the IT infrastructure and managing resolution of security incidents. The role will also be responsible to report on the current estate of information security controls defined for ICT environment and contribute to the tactical delivery of the overall information security strategy, involving 3rd party suppliers.
The position reports to the IT Operations Manager.
This role requires a methodical and meticulous candidate with an IT security background, relevant experience in a similar role, preferably obtained within the finance sector or in a high availability environment.
Relevant information security experience in:
4.Network and Application security
5.Logging and monitoring
Fundamental knowledge of Network architecture principles and definitions
Technical knowledge of:
3rd party management experience,
Experience in operating security controls based on ISO, NIST and/or PCI
The ideal candidate will be analytical, professional and persuasive, with the ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders quickly. Experience in defining and implementing security controls based on ISO, NIST and/or PCI. Knowledge of IT governance principles, ITIL or Cobit.
