The IT Security Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining security practices for the business.

  • Technical controls and data security strategies
  • R&D of Security threats and best practice
  • Plan, direct, manage and oversee Security activities

The Organisation:

The Blackburn based retail business are bring proactive in protecting their business from emerging cyber related issues and identified the need for an IT Security Manager.

The Role:

Reporting into the Head of IT, the role of IT Security Manager will liaise with various components of the business to develop, and deliver Security strategy including spreading into the wider business strategies. Initial tasks will include assess emerging threats, best practice counter measures, regulatory and industry standards regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess threats (Security Gap Analysis, Network Intruder Detection & Prevention, Data Leakage Protection, Governance & compliance frameworks)
  • Security Analysis & Assessment, identifying key risk areas, producing recommendations.
  • Develop security strategy to be implemented across the business
  • Incident resolution to comply with SLA agreements
  • Maintain Security governance

  • Broad technical Security Subject Matter Expertise
  • Flexibility to identify & respond to demands, opportunities and threats quickly
