IT Security Analyst


£25,000 – £30,000

The purpose of the role is to ensure that IT security systems, measures and controls are monitored, maintained, kept up to date and running optimally.

The role has responsibility for day-to-day service monitoring of security tools, to execute scheduled operational procedures, to assist in identifying trends and remediating possible exposures, to act as a first line for any security incidents and support requirements, escalating where required.

The role will also collate data from various sources to provide Management Reporting in relation to the security posture of company.


  • Act as a first line within the IT Security team, responding to alerts from information security tools, the Security Operation Center and the incident/request ticketing system.
  • Execution of scheduled operational security tasks utilizing various services and tools.
  • Monitor various threat and vulnerability news services for any relevant information that may impact the company’s installed services or infrastructure.
  • Production of Management reports using and collating data from various sources.


  • If required, to be part of an on-call Rota to be a point of escalation for the Security Operations Center to provide 24×7 support.
  • Keep appropriate records and update documentation or checklists as applicable
  • Follow core processes and procedures such as change control and incident logging
