Role purpose: 

To build, deploy, integrate and verify large scale, complex cloud and managed hosting solutions for Vodafone’s global customer base and support the business as a first class cloud and hosting service provider. Work with key stakeholders to ensure right first time build, delivery on time and to estimates. Document the customer implementation to a high standard and ensure seamless handover into operations. Prove successful delivery of data protection services. Participate in and drive technology and product forums, demonstrating a deep understanding of network and security technologies. Consult, review and approve new product and service releases. Feed in to and drive internal service improvement processes and initiatives. Support the design and consultancy functions to input the relevant technical detail as part of the planning process.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Ensure that all customer network and security solutions are implemented according to the agreed SLAs and KPIs. Ensure build is completed right first time, meets requirements defined during the solution design phase and is transitioned into operations on time.
Providedeep technical expertise in network and security cloud and hosting technologiesto support the design, delivery and consultancy functions through the solutiondesign and planning phase.
Work with and support the product development teams to ensure infrastructure engineering requirements are clearly communicated and considered for new products and technologies. Review all new releases prior to approval into delivery.
Creation of technical impact assessments and change plans for the integration of new solutions via change management.
Provide effective network and security consulting services to other parts of the Cloud and Hosting organisation.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

 

Extensive exposure to network and security technologies.
Experience of deploying and integrating enterprise scale, complex managed hosting or cloud solutions focussed on quality, speed and customer experience.
Ability to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and influence their decision making.
Demonstrable track record in identifying, driving and implementing continuous improvements.
Competent in using technical expertise to challenge and steer decisions.

CCNA/CCNP
Any Unix/Linux Accreditation
Any Microsoft Accreditation
Any VMware Accreditation
